Question Fleetside floor dimensions?

I'm contemplating transplanting a steel floor into my stepside bed. Has anyone got a tape measure handy to see how wide the main piece of floor is that goes between the wheel wells?

Thanks,

Kenneth

Fleetside , tub to tub? I have 39 1 1/2", & the tubs are stretched 5".......so stock should be 49 1/2. Im guessing, you plan to cut down a fleet floor to use on the step?

Yep, that's what I was thinking... and 49 1/2 is the magic number. Do you think it will work/look decent/whatever?

I think it might work, & should look good. Your front box panel will be 3/4" too tall, but the mount lip can be cut off & refolded. good luck, & let us know how it goes.....
