"BEST" SBC headers for 2wd?

I am search of the best headers for a SBC in a 71 2wd. I have a set of Thorley Tri-Ys in my K5 on the 454 and they fit very nicley and seal up tight...I have also been looking at JBA's and Sandersons...Any thoughts? I just want something that has a THICK flange (3/8"?)and will provide ample clearance... Also I would like to find something that is offered in stainless..

So what are you guys running that you have had good luck with?

Thanks...

I have Hooker Super Comp ceramic coated headers & they are great, the've been on the truck 4-5 years now, look good & no leaks, & they tuck up nice under my low truck & never hit, here's a pic of my truck so you can see how they look.

If you want stainless, 3/8" thick, full length headers, Stainless Works is the best header out there and they are the best. We are also a dealer.

I saw on stainlessworks website that there were two numbers listed. I take it that they are both stainless and one is polished, correct? I like the look of those that I was able to see pics for. Do they honestly fit really well??I am going with a full stainless exhaust and I want the crap to fit right without spending hours with a ball-peen MAKING them fit...

Re: "BEST" SBC headers for 2wd?

my dyno max headers are nice that are ceramic coated, they fit nice with little work. Don't remember the flanges because I used a bandint clamp to connect the pipe to the headers.

The headers do not require any messaging to fit but they due reccomend short header plugs. The exhaust systems listed are for 72-87 LWB 4wd with leafs so I don't know if they would be a direct fit without some work. There are 5 combinations to choose from.
