Looking for a part for my truck. I can't seem to find a replacement toolbox lock with key. My key if obviously gone and I don't really put anything in the toolbox of my 70 C20 in the fear that it will disappear magically. Hoping someone is parting one out. If nobody has one, maybe you can steer me into the right direction to find one. Doesn't seem as though LMC carries them.

Alex I would think that if you take the lock cylinder out and take it to a lock smith that he can make you a key or key it to your door key good luck . Ken

Aren't these locks the same as the door locks?

Bob,
the lock cylinder itself is the same but the actuating arm is different.

Can anyone post a picture of one of the locks with the arm (technical name is pawl) on it, or a picture of the back side of the door with the pawl? Thanks.

70LongbedC20--- If the lock is the same as the door locks I have those with keys but I'm not sure about the pawl....

Thanks for your comments. I have a lock, but the key doens't fit. I suppose the door locks got changed at one point in time. Especially since a square key opens the doors. Can I just modify the tumblers in the cylinder? That hard?

You should be able to take the lock down to a locksmith and have a new key made. We've done it several times with things that the key gets lost to.

Worth a try!!
