Re: Lets sEEEEEE those swEEt six thrEEE'S
here's a couple pics of mine. I guess my direction is stock looking. I have a 350 bored to 355, th350 tranny, and new rearend(stock 3:54 ratio) as well as a complete Painless wiring harness. I lack the funds to really do anything with the body, so I'll just drive it like it is until I hit the lottery or Mother Nature finishes her off!

Re: Lets sEEEEEE those swEEt six thrEEE'S
no problems at all. I bought the harness that converted the fuse panel, but still had the stock connectors for everything.

Re: Lets sEEEEEE those swEEt six thrEEE'S
O.K., here's what mine looked like before I tore it all apart. Currently, it's disassembled down to the bare frame. It was my driver all through engineering school and for about eight years after. I really miss driving it. By the way, anyone know a good powder coating shop in the Los Angeles area that can handle the entire frame?
Mike

Re: Lets sEEEEEE those swEEt six thrEEE'S
Ok Folks, Here's a few more shots. I just ordered all of the goodies to install Power Steering, Drop Spindles, Drop Coils and Power Disc Brakes. I bought most of my parts from Early Classics. I'll post pictures as my work progresses. As information, I completed a frame off resto on this truck in 1992. I couldn't afford all the driveability upgrades at the time. I spent considerable bucks building a 400 horsepower small block and buying NOS body parts. Take a peak.

Re: Lets sEEEEEE those swEEt six thrEEE'S
John, I don't have any extra bumper guards. When I purchased my truck, the original guards had several small dents like they push started other vehicles with them. I had the bumper and guards repaired/ replated back in 1989. The grille is original. I'm getting excited about making my driveability upgrades. I've only driven the truck 6500 miles since 1990. Power Steering and Brakes will be a real joy!! Rick

Re: Lets sEEEEEE those swEEt six thrEEE'S
beautiful truck! outstanding detail, but if i may say that all that attention to detail such as the guages, color matching seatbelts, glovebox cover, is really interupted by that steering wheel!!!!! just my 0.2 never the less your 63 is one of the best I have ever seen!

Please excuse the ignorance, but what is the difference between 63's and the others...I always thought 62-64 were pretty much the same.

Re: Lets sEEEEEE those swEEt six thrEEE'S
60-61 have the big cat eye hoods and the grilles are specific to those years 63 was the last year for the wrap around windshield and the grille for 63 was only made one year. 64-65-66 are the ones that are almost identicale other than the emblem placement. Iam sure I left out some details. there are some very smart guys in here who probly know all the details.

I love 63 short fleets! Aside from the surface rust that looks really straight! Have you done any mods?

This one is mine. Have the bed, front fenders and front of radiator area. LT1 with tranny in shop. All the parts now to start on it. But my son and I have to finish his 65 first.
