Re: Ever find anything 'old' in your truck?

I bought a '69 Triumph TR6, and under the seat was a bag with a bottle of whiskey. Seal was not broken, so I drank it. Tasted better than chewing gum...

Re: Ever find anything 'old' in your truck?

In my first truck, the blue longhorn, i found the dealer papers, bill of sale, waranty book with protecto plate, recall papers in the envelope from detroit and owners manual.
In my 2nd truck, I found... well, I didn't find it, but the MP's dogs (military police) found a very old dry bag of weed... pretty full too. I almost got in deep doo - doo over this, since it was my truck, i was in posession on a federal instalation. My whole chain of comand was with me in Gen. Schwarts's office that afternoon. CID (think, FBI) was there, I already had representation, but the good general was a very smart man. I had proof that I had just gotten the truck a week before. I had the untransfered title in hand... I was gonna take care of it at lunch time. It was signed, and dated 8 days prior to this incident. The Gen said to me, "How old do you think this pot is? And do you think your ENTIRE chain of command are all retarded idiots for wasting my time, and your time, on something that OBVIOUSLY isn't yours?"
Yeah, i got in trouble for disrespecting my chain of comand.

Re: Ever find anything 'old' in your truck?

Anyone from N. Texas - Southern Oklahoma will remember this place: Had a receipt from Gibsons Dept. Store under the gas tank on the carpet of my 71. I don't have it anymore but I think the total was around $3.50 and it was dated 1973...

I would've blamed the noise on a duck call too..

My first car was a 68 Camaro SS. I Found a check dated in '69 made out to TWA Airlines from the original owner for 32 dollars.

Re: Ever find anything 'old' in your truck?

In a 67 parts pickup i bought from a couple farmers. I found stuffed under the seat a dirty magazine, 12+ crushed old milwaukee cans, naked pictures of some lady in front of the local bar, and 5 or 6 rusty wrenches. I thought that was all untill i pulled the gas tank and found a pack of zig zags with a doobie stuffed under the cover.
I looked like all that stuff was from the mid 80s
If that pickup could talk......

Re: Ever find anything 'old' in your truck?

I found some old spark plugs and a note to the 2nd owner in my glovebox, and a wizard 15/16 socket in the front fender, and a truck toolbox full of moldy old trash. I was hoping to find a bunch of money in the cab corners or something, but it didn't happen.

Re: Ever find anything 'old' in your truck?

While cutting a trunk floor pan out of racecar body I found a 30-06 shell with the cutting torch. Not good at all shell was loaded not empty. Only ever found the back half after the bang and the torch went out. I hit my head as I was laying down and my dad was standind directly behind the car when this happened. Needless to say the once over cleaning was out the door and things gone over alot better after that. BTW we saved the half caseing as a reminder!

Re: Ever find anything 'old' in your truck?

i wouldve loved to see that to,

but i found a sh*t load of sunflower seeds all over the place in the cab, on the dash, in the seats, and in the cab corners and everywhere else, they were still whole and not chewed thankfully, and lots of change everywhere to, also found a empty primetime case in the drivers side cab corner, and i found a kitchen steak knife in the right front fender after i took the coal can off and i dont remember if i found anything else and if i did i guess it wasnt that good...haha

ND_guy - i wish i couldve found good things like that in mine..
