Sometime I wonder about this ebay thing
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/74-GM...QQcmdZViewItem
I like how he thinks the 4 bolt block refers to how many bolts hold it to the car, and that it somehow makes "unreal horsepower". Probably in the neighborhood of 125-175 for that era I'd guess. I was going to tell him but I can't figure out if he's serious or just not very bright. -Brian

Re: Sometime I wonder about this ebay thing
Sadly enough I think he's both, he's serious and not very bright.
I believe it would take more than a little bondo to fix that dent.

Re: Sometime I wonder about this ebay thing
He is SERIOUSLY NOT BRIGHT!! Well, we can't all be car geniouses. The 3-4 bolt thing is just someone talking without knowing, oh well, you could ask him a question, or just let it slide. I'd let it slide cause these are the guys that know lots about nothing and will argue with you!!

Re: Sometime I wonder about this ebay thing
To make it interesting - I have seen worse. It was a Corvette ad. I'll link it up in a sec, but I wanted everyone to understand that even though Corvettes are getting expensive, this one is worth about 1/20th the asking price. The ad is generally hilarious.

Re: Sometime I wonder about this ebay thing
Poor fella, at least he was enthusiastic about the whole deal. The bondo recommendation killed me!
Now if that Vette had the Beta tape player then I might make an offer.

Re: Sometime I wonder about this ebay thing
Ahh I love it - i'd give him $100 for it for parts (but only if it ran) Someone should ask him to pull the oil pan and snap a picture to prove that it is a 4 bolt main - wait that might be too confusing for him.

Re: Sometime I wonder about this ebay thing
It has 4 bolt motor mounts to help keep the jarring down thats what makes the unreal power. you know the junk motors only have 3 bolts to hold them down.
Poor guy probably rides a bicycle and his mom hid the keys when he put that little indentation in the cab and was yealling words he had never heard before. Makes me want to bid high for all the effort he put into trying to sweeten that POS. It looks like he has a pill of money in rattle cans of paint and armaroll. |

Re: Sometime I wonder about this ebay thing
I found a few photos he should have updated!! to match the description better...
I always wondered why my 2 bolt blocks wouldn't perform ... they were missing that extra bolt going through the bearings...
