I found some seats, cheap. Not sure though

I decided to stop by the yard today just to see what they had and I found a front seat(s) from an '06 f-150. They couldnt figure out how to get the driver seat out, all of the bolts from all sections were removed but 1 on the driver seat. The guy says "its some kind of weird bolt with no head" he tells me if I can get it out he'd only charge me $100 instead of the usual $300. All I had to do was cut the power seat wires, hook them up to my 18v drill battery, slide the seat forward and remove 1 torx (funny bolt with no head ha ha) I was gone in less than 5 minutes

Anyway, I'm not sure if I'll use them or not but here they are. I like that the belts are built into the seat.

ha ha this place usually has really nice seats for cheap, most are only a couple years old and are $150 you pay shipping and I'll go pick one up for you ha. I cant figure out why these seats are so damn HEAVY though. Only the driver seat is power but both have another 4 wire harness, not sure what it goes to though.

pic 1 is passenger, 2 is driver. I think one of the harnesses goes to the console cigarette lighter but the rest?

the wire harness is prob for a seat belt sensor, to tell you if the passenger is buckled in.

Nope, I found that harness but I still have a 5 wire harness. Maybe heated seats?

Might be the sensor to turn on/off the airbag. Once something 70+ pounds sits on the seat it activates the bag. That way in a crash if the seat is empty no POOF
Sweet seats by the way.

Re: I found some seats, cheap. Not sure though

F150s do indeed come with power lumbar and heated seats, depends on what trim level the truck is. If the donor truck was a high-end trim it's entirely possible those options were included in the seats. Which makes them seats all the more cool Have you tried applying 12V to them wires and see what happens? That'd be the first thing I do, lol

Re: I found some seats, cheap. Not sure though

I found some info on a ford forum guess all I really need to use are +/- right?

Light Green and Black / Light Blue = Driver seat position sensor.
Light Green / Red and Light Green / Black = Driver Pretensioner. (careful with these)
Black / Light Blue and Brown / Light Blue = Seat belt buckle.

Passenger side:
Red / Black and Black / Light Blue = Seat belt buckle.
Yellow / Red and Yellow / Black = Pretensioner. (careful)
Red / White, Brown / White, Pink / Orange and Black / Light Blue = Passenger weight sensor module.

Some wires are mentioned twice because they are power wires or grounds it seems.

Re: I found some seats, cheap. Not sure though

I bet the position sensors are for memory seats, if you ain't planning on using the Ford control module for those you should be able to safely remove the sensors and their harnesses. The passenger-side weight sensor is also not needed, it's used to arm and disarm the airbag in the dash in front of the passenger - you don't have air bag there, so you don't need weight sensor either.

I owned an '02 Harley Edition New for 2 1/2 Years. I can confirm that F""" put heated seats in their trucks. I will say this about F'''' seats they are built comfortible and will fit a large man perfectly. I lovingly refered them as my fatman seats. They were absolutely the most comfortible seats I have ever had in a vehicle. Terry
