A new addition to the 2WD stable

I was not really looking to buy another Blazer I HAD TOO

I actually went out to buy ONLY THE TOP for a project for the "blazester" as the owner had a spare top sell. I am working on making a mini-hardtop for the ochre blazer for rainy road trips.......
SO, buying the TOP ONLY, turned into buying the whole thing (with 2 tops!!)
I liked the fact that the 70 is so basic and mostly unmolested !!!
Its a 6 banger with 3-on-the-tree, no fancy trim, real basic seats, rubber flooring (missing). According to the glove-box accesory list: only the passenger seat, top, am-radio, and gauges(no tach) were added to base model !!!! It runs fine with the 'ol 6 still chuggin' along....
My future plans are still undecided
It sure would look slick with original dog-dish hubcaps on white wheels sittin' low down in the weeds.....wouldn't it ???
I have never seen these "dukes of hazzard/ General Lee" wheels before>>>>anybody know what there story is ??? They cleaned up pretty nice....And yes, it has a banged-up passenger rear 1/4 ( maybe slid into a telephone pole??) The rear body to frame bolts are leaning ( \\\\ )
OH well........thought I would share some pics with you!
Keep on truckin'

Re: A new addition to the 2WD stable

Under 5K.......sorry I don't want to be too specific.
Being that its the lowest production model year(2WD) and still running and unmolested, I thought it was well worth it !!

Re: A new addition to the 2WD stable

Looks kind of like mine did when I brought it home. Except yours has more options than mine. Mine had not top, no side windows, no passinger seat... Etc. It never had them from the start. The top in the picture was for another Blazer the PO had. WES

Re: A new addition to the 2WD stable

Jeez, seems like these things are falling off the trees lately!

I'm glad people are saving them.

Re: A new addition to the 2WD stable

Well I have had as many as 4 Blazers in 2 years, & 2 were 2wd. If I
found another one tomorrow I'd be all over it. (If I find a frame alone
"GQ's" body will get transplanted) So congrats from me to you LB
