'71 GMC Suburban w/20s

Finished up lowering my '71 GMC 1/2 Suburban and just got the new wheels and tires mounted with 20s last night. Lowered it 2.5/3" with dropped front spindles and aftermarket leaf springs in the back. Got up this morning @ 5 to wash it, and have it looking good to drive to work (daily driver in the summer). Thanks to the tech help from everyone on the boards, the wheel/tire posts helped a bunch. I'll post some in-progress pics of lowering too.

Wow, I don't know if I'm more envious of the burb, the garage, or the fact that you're working on it with your dad (I'm guessing).

Good Times.

Re: '71 GMC Suburban w/20s

You cannot imagine that there is a COUSIN to this truck around the corner from my house. It is a Chevy, but it is the same green and white with 20's on air. I think the wheels are Boyd Magneato's

That looks awesome! My favorite two tones are the ones with a white top and white below the lower trim. Nice wheel selection too.

Re: '71 GMC Suburban w/20s

Thanks for all the kind words. Let's see, going to try to answer everybody's questions:

The wheels are 20 x 8.5" in the front, 20 x 10" in back. The tires are P275/45R20 GOODYEAR EAGLES. I'll check on backspacing for everybody and post that too.

Yes, it was fun working on the project with my dad, we're both into the old car hobby, and we built that pole barn over the 2 summers back when I was in Junior High. It was pretty funny, because there's a new house our family built that's behind the camera, and the barn was underway and almost finished before the house was started. We conviced my Mom that the barn needed to be finished before the house was started so that it could be used for "woodworking" but the real plan was of course, cement floors, engine hoist, etc, etc.
