HELP with CPP Brake Booster Problem

ttt.....Does anyone know if a 8 or 9 inch booster will help me....The 11" one I ordered from CPP hits the hood brace of the new cowl hood....I suppose it will.....should I get a single or dual diaphram (what's the difference??)

Thanks for any help

Re: CPP Brake Booster Problem

I don't have any experience with your exact situation but here goes. A dual diaphragm booster will give more assist for a given size... ie more braking power over a single diaphragm of the same size.

Go up the street to Mooresville and go to Master Power Brake see what they got to say.

Re: CPP Brake Booster Problem

Dumb question

Did you install a new bracket and is it upside down???

Those mounting brackets for the power assemblies can be mounted either way.just a little FYI.

orgalmeister....thanks for the suggestion and input!!!

jkaylor....I have checked the brackets both ways....for some crazy reason the booster hits the hood brace...I called CPP and they said it was the first time they ever heard that!!!....So I thought it was something I was doing wrong and checked the brackets.....so I finally decided to buy a smaller diameter booster and sell this one!!!....Thanks for the FYI....
