Any one know the difference between '71 leaf springs and 73 and up leaf springs (4X4)? And how about the difference between the steering arms. I'm going to be ordering a 4" lift for my 71 Burb and I have found a lot of kits and arms listed for 73+ trucks but very few for the 71s. I thought they were the same as long as it was installed on a Dana 44. ????

The steering arms are the same as the 73 and up for open knuckle 69-72s. The springs are different in the front 69-72 they are shorter by about 4". Rear springs are the same 69 and up, with the exception of the odd ball 56" springs on some heavier trucks, these are not the same as the 67-68 rear 56" springs which I believe would have to be custom made. Bottom line, if your looking in magazines, you will not find many 69-72 lifts listed. Rest assure I know following companies have various lifts for our trucks: Tuff country(I bought 2"), Skyjacker, Superlift, Rough Country, Trailmaster. A lot of times you'll have to call them and some do not offer all the different lift heights.

A lot of times you'll have to call them and some do not offer all the different lift heights. __________________ 1970 K25, 8' stepside bed 350/465/205 44 up front, 60 in the rear 4.10s rolling on 33" Dunlop MTs 1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX 1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears 1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now..... 1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm
