Woohoo! It turns out a 1 ton frontend will....
....fit in the back of my Civic Hatchback. Fits just perfectly, actually (though I can't take any passengers). Disk brakes, sway bar and everything....How much does that sucker weigh, I wonder? The back is pretty scrunched down now so I guess I now know what it would look like lowered (wish I had a digital camera....)
As stoked as I am to have a disk brake setup with big-ass sway bar, BB engine stands and a power steering setup I probably shouldn't get too excited; I still have to get the sucker outta there again  Greg

If I keep throwing loads like that at it, it may never grow up for us to find out! (might be an interesting custom like that flatbed beetle that Dubie posted last week? kay...maybe not... :p )
The crossmember wasn't as hard to get out of there as I was expecting...that's good news. The bad news is that now that I know that the track width of my truck will fit into my Honda, the temptation to go shopping for a new rearend is getting harder to ignore! heheh Greg
