72 rear view mirror placement

What is the correct placement for the tab on the windshield, obviously centered but how far down?

Mine is sitting about an inch and a half below the weather stripping, but it's kind of in the way. I'd find the position that sits the best for you and mount it there. I'm gonna move mine pretty quick like. Maybe swap a headlining mount mirror off the Corvair.

Make sure the placement works with the sun-visors! I've that mistake before.
