Local truck which was sold to a buddy of mine about a couple years ago. Another "skunk-colored" super.

Re: workin on a truck...

turned into a master cylinder, a caliper, front pads, brake fluid flush and a tune up. Come to find out, the booster is ca-ca too!
I'm done working on it for now. I made more working on this thing than I would have at work... I have one more day of my suspention left... spending it with MY truck.
Here's the Owner driving it about 40 MPH on his back 10 acers, we were gettin a little sideays... never gotten sideways while riding in the bed. FUN!
Kinda sad... I got $10 of gas... we did about 3 or 4 laps of the property... and I had to go get $10 more in gas. (getting it in MY truck... not his)

Shame the thing is such a piece, it has a pretty cool look to it.

Good job with it too, always good to help out a friend while you're at it as well.

Re: workin on a truck...

So you're sayin you had a very minor accident in the company truck on company business and you were given a week's suspension for it? Who does he think he's penalizing? You get a vacation and he misses out on your week's production. And you are making some change while you are off too.
Yessir, that guy right there is a dumb arse!

Re: workin on a truck...

boog... you have no clue how true your statement is.
He called me today and told me his buddy GAVE him a tach dash... so i got this done today.

Since his has woodgrain and a manual throttle control, I had to swap the bezal (the donor was a 67/68 with the odd ball controls too) kept the original speedo too.
Less than an Hr, he gave me the old inst panel, so I have something to post for sale here as soon as I get a new bezal for it. Worth the time spent for the parts recieved IMO.
