Radiator Support 1951 3/4 ton

It has been 2 and a half years since my tear down and though I took a ton of pictures it seems the very ones I should have taken I don't have. Moreover the 1954 assembly manual doesn't show my radiator support. Mine has only one bolt to the crossmember instead of all those I see with two. Also I see most with the X support rods and I don't find any in my pile of parts. I wonder if being a 3/4 ton is why it is different.

I don't know about the 3/4 ton but the x braces on the 52 that I am working on were welded to the crossmember but I had to cut them out to clear the radiator. The 52 has 2 bolts that holds it to the frame.

i should have my old x rods if you want them. there nothing more then some round bar and should be easy to make. if your running a stock radiator and no ac you can use them. other wize there in the way. the biggest problem with the R support is they tend to rip right at the base where it bends up. my original was missing 4 inches of the channel. how that happened i have no idea!

Re: Radiator Support 1951 3/4 ton

Thanks for the offer Greg, however I guess I'll just go without the braces. I gave my original radiator way to a guy from Oklahoma this morning. I have a new Walker. Several guys with 3600s have told me their trucks came with a single bolt and no X braces.
