I finally have time to clean up my engine compartment wires. I need to buy some new spark plug wire retainers. Does anyone have any recommendations ? I have a 350 w/Hooker headers and 90* plug wires. I may swap to straight wires. If you post pics can you tell me the manufacturer please. Thanks alot !!!

I'm running ramshorns and I threaded the front pairs of wires exactly like jaros44sr did-- factory heat shields and then down behind the motor mounts. Yeah, they'll be a POS to change, but it's my POS (lol) and I've secured them down so well I shouldn't have to change them but once in a blue moon anyway. I also used a couple of pan rail clips to really tuck them in close.

BLACK AND BLUE 67-72, I remember seeing your thread, and shoulda posted some pics, but don't have a photo account anywhere . . . yet.

Boog, my shields and looms look just like jaros44sr's. I got them from LMC. I used the little two-wire loom at both positions, front and rear.

And after looking at Jaros last pic closer I see he is using bigger wires. I plan to buy the HEI wires for a 75 Vette and the stock shields and looms to go with my 'horns. I like the wires somewhat hidden rather than run over the top of the valve covers and manifolds. Just looks cleaner to me.

That's what I did; got two sets of wires for a 75 Vette, sorted out the four longest ones from both sets. Loomed them up as shown in the above pictures, hooked them down to the pan rail, then up the back sides of the heads to the HEI. Worked great and they're all but hidden.

Thanks Guys, you're rite Boog, they are 8MM and they are a little tight. Got them from a Corvette site (Corvette America), locally. I got the pan clips as well, but my wires are to short to use them. I agree with ya, don't like my wires going over the V/C's. N/W my 90 degree dizzy boots are coming in from Jeg's so I can modify the ends of my wires to be a strait shot, instead of loping up and down

2" flanges are for my Son's SBC J--p

Sorry Black and Blue, didn't see your post...

Sleeper Truck you could just use the wire clips bolted to your block, 1/4"-20, then use the oil pan clips to keep them behind the headers and up behind the heads to the dizzy

Thanks alot big al, jaros, lugnut. I like the billet piece I may look into getting one of those. The wires I got are GMPP wires that came with my motor. They had those plastic retaining clips that just didnt work for me. I will try to bring them underneath like Jaros says. When I figure it all out I will post pics. Thanks again guys

I got my wire retainers from GMCpaul. I used 75 vette HEI wires from NAPA. Worked great. Here's the pic I used when I installed them. Hope this works as good for you as it did mine?

I haven't located that rear wire support yet, did GMCPaul have that as well, are the mounting holes 1/4"-20 by the dizzy on the block

IIRC, yes they are. He didn't have the large size (4 wire) for one side or the other, so I ordered 2 of the same side, and bent one exactly opposite for the other. Works great. I always did hate the plug wires just hanging there waiting to get snagged or burnt by what was around them.
