Finally introducing myself

Well I am not only addicted to the 67-72 Chevy's - I'm addicted to the site. I really enjoy all of the build threads, and hope to add a few of my own soon. I am currently working on a 71' C-10 long bed. I have owned this truck for about 10 years - it was initially going to be a parts truck, as it has all the options: tilt, tach, 402, TH400, etc..

For what ever reason a few years back I decided to take my 3/4 ton 72 burb (sold) and switch out the drive train! Crazy, I guess - I think I wanted the 71 truck to 3/4 as I was going to use it as a work truck or something. Anyway the truck is now getting gutted, as I will putting most of the higher options in my 72 C-10 shorty.

I am currently switching most parts out, and then I am going to shorten the frame and give it an attitude (height) adjustment. I have purchased 8 lug to 5 lug 2.5 drop spindles, and will run 2" drop springs. In the back I will be C-notching and going with 6" drop springs.

I also have a 68' shorty that I am trying to get ready for Goodguys next month! I will shoot some pics of it once I get it back from my body guy.

Like i tell my wife, "honey it's truck porn"! you gotta love this place - I know I do. Ronnie
