I spent part of yesterday stripping parts off of these two trucks. The white one has a v-six in it and the blue one has a 427. They got both of the engines running and the owner of the yard is keeping them. The blue truck is the most highly optioned C-60 I have ever seen...

That thing was optioned out for sure.

Just about anything I thought could be used on the smaller trucks. The blue truck had a nice set of black seat belts which I need for the White Truck. The tach dash looks pretty good and the guy that works there said that the radio came on when he started the truck. Plus, the owner gave me a bunch of parts he had stashed from other 67-72 trucks he had parted out.... A good day overall.

I was looking a an orange GMC just like the white one in that picture. They wanted $1500 bucks for it and supposedly it ran but I couldn't get ahold of the owner

The blue one with a 427 looks like it has a two groove alternator pulley. What would that be for?

Thank you for sharing the pictures.

Unfortunately a lot of the older big trucks are going to the crusher. I hate to see it, but there is not a big demand for them.

Here is a picture of the big one I have, it needs work but I am going to save it from the crusher. I use it from time to time here on the farm.

The guy that runs this salvage yard seems to get a lot of these things in. He has had 6 or 7 of them this year. I am only two miles from the yard and I get along well with everyone over there. If they are going to scrap a truck one of the guys gives me a call and I can go over and take off any of the small stuff I want....

I'll have to look at that closer if it's still there when I go back over. Trouble is we are supposed to get heavy rain for the next couple of days and it gets like a swamp over there...
