ok so my cab needs new rockers and cab braces and a few other patches. has anyone used the full floors that come with the supports already on them. they are alot of money but i am asking if it is worth it in the end?

no river falls is about an hour and a half north west of black river falls. i agree they have some great trails!!

It's not the money that would scare me. It is all the bracing that needs to be done before a guy cuts out the old floor. That would scare me big time.

But, all said, it sure would be a nice rebuild project. Whatever you decide, post some pics please.

I have and it fit great and wasn't that much work I found the cab corners more work to do then the floor

I just got one. I actually started working on it today. The bracing is no big deal. Took me about an hour to brace it up. The more the better. In my opinion, the full floor is worth every penny, and IMO, its way cheap! Its on sale now for $360. I think thats a steal.

Willys, did you ever post any pics of your floor install?

My opinion?, just makes sense, less welding, less work. Alot of cutting and fitting of patch panels and you end up with seams that may fail in the future!

When your dun with the full floor, no one will be able to tell that it isn't factory, so the price of your truck increases.
Gotta agree on the cab corners, seems like they took alot of work

I can't get my pictures small enough to post any but it was the best way for me to fix the rust in my floor. So many more cabs could be saved if more knew how easy it realy is to do.

Og, i vote for the full floor, but Jlaird is right, brace the hell out of it. When i did the floor pans on my '72, & cut out the center floor over the brace/bolt on the pass side, the whole cab shifted. We screwed around trying to line up the hood & fenders, but never got it completly right. Since it is a work truck, we gave up & painted it. I definatly learned not to let the cab shift at all n my next('68) project.

Were did you get your floor for $360? Did it have a $125 freight charge? LMC?

So, do you have to take the cab of and put it in some sort of a jig? Or, can you do it in place?

The cab needs to come off. Its got all the cab supports built into it.

I got it from Tri-plus (Tri-pro) and yes, it was $360 plus $100 freight to a business or $130 to a residence.
