Wink Hello from Vancouver, WA

Hi to all, my name is Marcos. I am a process engineer for a high tech company. I have a daughter who lives in Texas.

About a two years ago I fell in love with this 1964 long fleetside that
a friend of mine had. So, I bugged the heck out of him to sell it to
me since he hardly ever drove it. After about 6 months he finally gave
in and sold it to me for $900 running. I named her Fugly. I drove it for
a while and then decided to start working on her. The actual plan is
to go down to the frame and build her back up. Nothing fancy. Well
right now she is to the cab which needs to be completely replaced.
It is rotted bad. So as I was looking for a cab a came across a 1965
long fleetside that I purchased about 3 months ago.
This one has a 250 and it leaks oil like crazy. So I have decided to put the 292 into this truck and just use it as a daily driver. I have been doing research of this 292 engine and came across this site that I have read
many good things about this engine and many beautiful images of this
engine. So right now I am in the process of removing the engine and
cleaning it up and replacing all the gaskets to place into the '65 while
I work on Fugly.

So to make a long story short. I am have some experience with
engines, but none like alot of the members here have and I could use
all the advice I can get.

So I do hope to chat with many of you and I will soon add pics of
both Fugly and the 65(I have not named her yet).

Thank you
