Question front tire size for lowered truck?

I recently installed a 5/7 drop on my 84 silverado and the front tires rub the inner fender whenever I hit a bump. The tires are currently 235/75/15's (to tall). I need a shorter tire, thinking of a 235/60/15, but I'm not sure how that would look (too short?). If anyone has a similar drop and could advise me on a good size front tire that would prevent rubbing, I'd appreciate it. By the way the rear tires are 275/60/15's and fit perfectly.

Low84 my Low83 has some 235/60R15 currently on the front with 255/60R15 on the back. I will be switching to 255/60R15 all the way around eventually. Here is a pic of my truck

The 275/60R15 might actually fit. I've seen them on 2/4 dropped trucks but not a 5/7. The drop is too low for a sport truck. I like the 255/60R15 look. Just have to pick a good manufacturer of the tire. The actual range for the tires is 26 to 27 inches all. Mine are closer to 26.

For some pics of 235/60R15s all the way around go here http://www.geocities.com/abetterchem...recentpics.htm I also have other pics on my web site too.

Thanks for the info guys! I think I'll go with the 235/60/15's on the front and keep the 275/60/15's out back. Both of your guys trucks look awsome! I love the stance on both of them. By the way chemist, I read your whole site and found Alot of helpfull info.

Keep truckin.

low 84,

I do have one warning. The 235/60R15 does not fit very well on a 8 inch rally or wheel. I would use a 7 inch rim or find a good 235/60R15 that will fit a 8 inch rim. The ones I have on mine are better off on a 7 inch wide rim. You are gonna have a very large rake. Your front and back will almost be three inches.

Thanks for the compliments on the web page. I will be posting a new page soon. I'll be adding electric fans and posting the pics from the paint removal.

Lightbulb

I didn't realize the height of the 275/60's and the 235/60's would be that different, but after doing a little math your right! So I think I'll go with the 255\60 on the front.

Thanks again for the help!
