What is the height of the rotating member?
aitch- I didn't mean that to sound like I was putting anybody down. Sorry if it came off that way. I was really just pointing out that Putter knew what I was saying and I knew what he was saying. Sometimes I have a hard time understanding things on here too so I know where your coming from. The rotating part is about 1" if I remember correctly.

Re: Revolving cup holder pics

70c10, not a problem, thanks.
What looks like a potential issue tho is the difference between the center line of the ash tray face and the center line of the cup holder in the vertical axis. There may be a way to overcome this offset, I just think it's a challenge.
Like I said, I have a Windstar unit coming and I'll see what I can do with it.
I've been looking for a cup holder and this option is a great addition to our tribal knowledge. I count on this forum for information and the exchange of ideas.

Putter,

If you find an extra one at the JY, could pick it up for me? I have an idea, but need to play with it first. Let me know how much I need to send you.

Will do. I didn't see any last trip out, but I have to go again to pick up a few odd items for another member, plus an A/C compressor for my dad's caravan ($399 @ parts house...$70 at JY...with warranty)

Re: Revolving cup holder pics

WOW, It has been awhile, sad part is that Putter has
been here since then and never took my ashtray with
him when he left to modify it. Need to slap him upside
the old head w/ a very large brass cowbell I guess

Re: Revolving cup holder pics

I like both ideas, I wondering if someone could photoshop the first pic while filling in the two small holes and painting it to match the dash? I think that would look pretty good...
