Re: smoothed my tail lights!

Looks great! I was wondering how that would look, so I'm glad someone did it.

Yeah,x2.

That looks awesome!!! Did you do the back-ups,yet?

I agree about the blue dots on smaller/earlier lights. That`s what they are,an intensifier. They are also knowns as 'purple glows".They don`t glow so purple in larger lenses unless you are looking at the dot.

Very nice touch. Will have to attack my clears (with LED's too, LoC10).

Re: smoothed my tail lights!

they also sale bulbs that are blue in color....make tails look purple. only down fall because of the blue they are slightly less bright, but they give you the look of blue dots without displaying a colored lens other than red or amber. That is the requirement here in MO. Kind of off the subject a bit...just wanted to add my $.02 worth.

The red and blue color signals sent by the eye's photoreceptors (cones and rods) to the brain cannot be processed at the same time, and so the brain "jumps" back and forth between the two colors, causing them to appear as though they are vibrating... and thus "brighter." The extent to which the colors actually appear purple to the viewer is determined by how quickly their brain jumps back and forth between the colors. The actual colors are not "mixing" in the air to create purple.

For some people, the effect actually hurts.
