welp, we went on a 30 mile each way trip today. blew the same air line off the tank twice, but other than that, all went well. temps stayed low, oil pressure stayed in a good range, and the exhaust was LOUD!

We got the leaks all taken care of, the hood is on, the front glass is in, the bed is on (need to do the front mounts yet), the tail lights are on and working (but one brake isn't for some odd reason) and the headlights are in.

making the trip down to kirksville is looking better by the day. Just need to get exhaust done this week and we should be good. open headers may be a bit much for a 4 hour drive...
