Radio reseting with ScanGauge II ???

I tried plugging in my ScanGauge II yesterday to more accurately monitor voltage and engine temperature and it made the radio flick off and the clock to reset to 1:00 every 2 or 3 minutes that it was plugged in. Has anyone else had this before? It has never happened to me in any other vehicle.

The truck is a 2001 RCSB that came with a 4.8L but it now has a 6.0L in it with an aftermarket cam, aluminum heads, and a new tune. The truck runs great without it plugged in. Could the ScanGauge be causing it to reset in case there are new values for the tune or something like that?
