a few more questions

I have a few questions as I am putting my truck back together.

1. Where can I get a clear bug guard for my 1972 Chevy longed?

2. Are the 1973-1987 long bed the same size as the 1972 truck long bed, beds? I am looking at a Tonneau From Pep Boys and they have one for a Chevy years 1987-1983.

3. Last question I put new hood adjuster bolts and bumper and the hood release is very hard to open. I have to put a lot of pressure on the release latch for it to release and open the hood. The pin coming down form the hood into the latch, do I need to move it out some, how is this adjustment made?

Thanks, I will try to put in carpet and seats tomorrow but it is getting to 28 degree so I might wait.

The little rubber bumpers that go on the fenders for the hood , four of them two on each side, is there a easy way to get them in?

1. I'd check places like http://www.lmctruck.com/, http://www.classicparts.com/ or JC Whittney for the clear bug guard.

2. No. I'm not sure about the lengths, but the widths differ.

3. I'd start by adjusting the height of the front bumpers which should adjust the amount of tension on the latch.

4. I just worked them in slowly. I'm not sure if I did it right because I've lost a couple.

You can work them down from the underside( a small screwdriver or the like, placed into the hole of the snubber) it will seat into the flange and spread out. Once you have mastered this, then you can remove them and use a small amount of 3M weatherstrip cement to keep them permanently in place
