Hydraulic clutch in a 72 truck

anyone have and idea what it would take to put a hydraulic clutch in a 72 4x4. my dad has a bad back and the clutch is getting to him and he says no to an automatic. he tows a lot of heavy loads.the newer trucks with hydraulic clutches dont hurt him . any thoughts..........

I put one in my 72 2x4 truck. You can mount the master cylinder just to the inside of the steering column and between the brake booster and the firewall. You need to change over the single brake pedal set up to dual pedals as well as fabricating the linkage to actuate the clutch master cylinder.
The biggest draw back is that most of the transmissions that use hydralic clutches do not lend themselves to cable driven speedo's. Good luck----Huck
