Who's got rust?

on the inside of their fleetside bedside....specifically the flange area for mounting the wheel tub?

Do you plan on fixing it?

Re: Who's got rust?

ME, me ,me, I had to use fiberglas (quick fix), until some reputable manufactorer decides to help me out. Do you know of any available?

Sorry, but it is tooooo ugly to post up pics. Luckily, it was in between the mounting nuts, so my wheel tub is pretty secure

Re: Who's got rust?

You mean like this? Since I can't find an inner panel, I may replace the side.

Re: Who's got rust?

Similar rust spots just have to shovel the bed out to get pictures.

Re: Who's got rust?

i have the rust spots in the exat same area as twotrucks... i too am interested in what to do.. I haven'y been able to find any repair panels made for this inner bed fender either, i was thinking i would just have to patch it with some scrap sheet, or try to do some weld metal buildup ..

Well, if thats the case, try 1/4" plate. It will take a long time to rust thru again

Re: Who's got rust?

I may have taken senator 350 out of context,I thought his reasonimg was...if there is more metal then it would take longer to rust thru. It has taken 40 years for this to happen, and if you repair it right, it should take another 40

I apologize to senator for any confusion I may have caused

Please, make the parts available
