Hi!!!! i just bought a 1978 GMC sierra grande

YEAR:1978
MAke:GMC
MODEL: sierra grande

ill tell u know i know about her i dont know all the real trems for everything im new to this lol... shes a stright 6 1500 pick up shes blue i named her tinker

I was driving home from my boyfriends when i 1st saw her she was only $650... we put in a new carburetor new air filter (they had the wrong size on her) we got her from a guy who used drugs so it kinda fun finding what he used to keep her together such as zip ties an budgie cords... she was stolen so she didnt have a driver side lock witch i replaced! an i need a new steering column im starting her but pushing in a pin right now lol...

im just sooo excited to learn an work on her

thanks guys!!!! for now i just wanna get her in to tip top shape lol an make her get more then 9 miles to the gallon lol i also just really want to learn how to work on my truck!!! then i will figure it out from there =)

i have a dumb qustion... dont really have anyone else to ask... u know the black hose under my hood the one from my air filter to the black thing lol (sorry guys im trying) it keeps getting holes now i cant find any place that has it in stock... but someone told me that could be messing with my gas milage what do u guys think (ive taped it shout till i can find somewhere that has it)

There are no dumb questions Trinity so any you have just ask away, We enjoy helping each other out around here.

There are a couple hoses that may run from your air filter, Can you post a pic of the one in question ?

its the big one that looks like an accordion lol the 1st pic has it its zip tied on lol when i looked it up they called the air intake hose... its pooring rain right now ill try to get a pic when it stops
