The important thing is to admit you have a problem.

Only a problem if you have the wrong WOMEN behind you pushing you to get it done so she can drive it! I think I have the right one here, letting me spend cash for parts, oh so nice!

Re: addicted to my blazer.. anyone else?

I'm definitely addicted to mine. I'm too broke to spend money on it at the moment but every chance I get I'm out there working on it.

it doesnt take long to put 30,000 grand into a 38 year old rig. the engine is a 383 stroker with 465 hp and 492 tq. custom 700r4 tranny. the engine was over 8000.. buy the time its in and you buy headers, exhaust, aluminum rad, electric fans all the bolt ons your over 12000, trannys 2500, rear driveshafts 1100, all new 6 inch lift,, 2500, some stuff i did myself, some shops did. the body was pretty much mint when i bought it so i paid 8000 for it. throw some chrome 18inch rims on with some 35's and your around 30,000. rebuild the the diffs with posi, 4.56 gears and your another 2500. autometer gauges in a custom billet alumunum dash.. another 1000. i still have to do the interior.. carpet, stereo, brakes. i have a full wiring kit i still have to install and im having trouble finding a brake kit for a 4x4. seems know one makes one for a 4x4.. lots for a 2 wheel drive. im not sure but i would say that adds up to over 35,000. addiction.

Re: addicted to my blazer.. anyone else?

Addiction is an understatement for me. I live and breath my blazer, even if it doesn't show right now it will eventually. Luckily my wife is addicted to purses and shoes so she can't give me any crap about spending money on "pointless" things.

You got a good looking rig, by the way!

yes i paid 1100 for the new driveshaft,Pinion Yoke cv joint, and to rotate the rear axle (cut spring mounts and fab new ones and re weld) its beefed up the best it can be for a 12 bolt. does that seem like a high price?

From a do it yourself point yup. I can do that for free with used parts, and $50 for new U joints. I would think in a shop it should be about half that.
