Keyboard 'rookie' need's thread search help!

Sorry to be a 'pain'. I am searching a thread that is 'How To' notch your ft crossmember('73-'85) I can not afford the nice (killer) Porter number. I need a tech/how to notch and the related steering issue's. I look for a 1.5-2" notching. i will not lay frame/bag/ ect. looking for that 5.5" drop total by using dropped spindle/shorter coil combo. Thank you kindly-Nick.

2ndstoryslam- Welcome to the forum. If I read correctly you are looking for info on a "raised crossmember" rather than a sectioned crossmember. It's possible you are using the wrong search term, but thanks so much for trying.
