Stereo Dash Kits

Alright, I have a 1980 3/4 ton and I am hoping to install a Pioneer Premier DEH-P740MP deck into my truck, what kind of dash kits can you get so I can install the deck without mashing up the truck's consol... If I have to I will, but I am just hoping I don't have to as that is the sort of thing I generally mess up :P

Also, how much is a fair price for a used steering column with only the steering column shaft, with the shifter bar and the grey assembly that the torx bolts go into? If it is as cheap as I am hoping, I am going to totally replace the one in my truck, the welding job we did won't hold out forever and it restricts the movment of the shifting bar, which we had to grind down to get to move in the first place...

dash kit? i am not aware of a kit, to install a non shaft type radio you have to cut the dash. there are some good shaft type radios, with presets and stuff. but unless you are wanting to restore this to pure stock, then hack it up. its no biggy. you could install the radio in the glove box or built a custom console on the floor for it.

Thanks for the email address Bill, but there is only one part that I need to replace, so I think that I may have to pass... I think I found one for 10 dollars, I am going to check it out tonight when my mother gets home with her 1999 Blazer...
