Re: Project: Stella Mae

I don't know how old you son is but you need to buy him a stick or something, he's gonna get more tail than a toilet seat.

Well you have her all cleaned up, sitting just right, and tucking some nice wheels. What's next?

Detail the motor and add a few things.......I have a SBC on the stand but I think I'm going to keep the 6 banger until it gives out.

Re: Project: Stella Mae

Well after getting back from Kansas, we (my son and myself) have put about 200 miles on the truck. It's running great without any worries as long as you keep it around 60 mph. So since it's running so good I thought I'd better take it apart and start screwing it up because who wants a good running truck?
I'm going to give it a simple cleaning and some fresh paint on the motor and add HEI while I'm under the hood. My wife told me tonight that by the weekend I will have talked myself into pulling the motor and painting everything under the hood.......lets hope she's wrong..

How about a Pertronix upgrade under the stock distributor...a little less mass than an HEI and only about $100.00 with a high output coil. Looks great by the way!

I already have a HEI or I would run the Petronix's......it's not going to look super nice anyway.....just clean and simple with a HUGE distributor hanging off the side.
