Question WIW: Granny 4-speed from '72 2WD

I've got the 4-speed out of my 6-cylinder '72 2WD sitting in the way and taking up valuable space. Includes the crossmember. (No clutch stuff -- SOB who bought the engine from me stole it -- didn't know it was gone until after he had left.) Truck had roughly 100K miles on it but I don't know if the tranny had ever had work done. It shifted perfectly and drove nice and smooth before it was pulled.

Anyone know what it's worth (ballpark)? Would really love to get it out of my way but hate to sell it to the scrap yard if it's worth anything, although that's likely where it's headed if I can't sell it before snow, which could be any day now.

Thanks,
Brent

Re: WIW: Granny 4-speed from '72 2WD

These boxes aren't terribly valuable because there are so many of them around. Most of them outlast the trucks they originally came in. I sold a perfectly good one for $100 a few years back, but it took a while to get that price. Fortunately, I wasn't in any rush to sell it.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll throw it up here and on Craigslist and see if I get any bites.
