Radio speaker

I have a 69 C20. It came with a non working AM radio. I put in a AM/FM and had the speaker rebuilt. Now the speaker won't fit in the dash. (The speaker magnets hit the hard ductwork) The truck has factory A/c and the speaker won't clear the ductwork. Is there a unique speaker for AM/FM with factory air ? I don't want to go the doorpanel or kickpanel route if I can help it. Any suggestions ?

Thanks

Tony

Re: Radio speaker

If you're going stock, then contact these guys: http://www.turnswitch.com/speakers.htm

If you are using new custom equipment, there are a lot of places to look and I couldn't even begin to say what brand to check. But as far as I know the speakers were not any different between a non ac or ac truck.
