Pictures of my 1969 Buick Riviera. I know its not a truck, but, I was looking for truck parts when I found it. So, I guess that counts. Plus everyone likes a great deal and here my great deal pictures. And yes it does run.

That's what I hate about Michigan. I would LOVE to find a car like that in a junkyard. I would be happy to just wander around in a junkyard and sit in an old car and pretend like its mine. Here cars like that are non-existant in junkyards, and anything over 10 years old is so rusty that it's worthless. That car is awesome. If I ever moved to a less rusty state I would probably buy out whole junkyards and have six hundred different projects.
I am very envious.

I know what you mean Brad,I lived in the Pacific North for 12 years and I never saw anything in salvage yards that wasn't a rust bucket or a basket case at least that was the case around Seattle,but over in Eastern Washington it was another story.It real dry over there.Anyway since I have been back home in Oklahoma I have accumulated quite a collection of pre 72 cars and trucks.Most of the time Im not looking, I just stumble across them like this Riviera in one the yards I frequent.I stumbled across a 68 Chevelle SS,72 Cutlass Supreme,63 Impala SS that Im trying to close a deal on.I know I got a Problem. But Im having fun.Kepping looking and you will eventually find a nice cheap old ride.

You don't see them in junk yards here...heck, you're lucky to see them at a cruise in.

yeah...in Ohio all you see in junkyards is late model wrecked cars rusting away to a slow death under a tree. once in a while you might see something old, but if thats the case, it's too far gone to even warrant touching it. last junkyard trip i made, i found one 67-72 truck, and it was so far gone it was hideous.

What do those Chevelles, cutlasses, and rivieras go for when in that good of condition and in a junkyard?

im lucky i have a junk yard right down the road that has like 10 or 11, 67-72 trucks,every thing from c-10 to c-30 wrecker,all in decent shape,nice Riv,looks like a good car

YEP -- I LIVED IN MICHIGAN FOR 35 YEARS........ ON A QUIET NIGHT YOU COULD HEAR THE CORN GROW, & THE CARS RUST. IT'S AMAZING TO FIND A 40 OR 50 YEAR OLD CAR OR TRUCK OUT HERE IN THE DESERT, THATS COMPLETELY RUST FREE.

Good score.There are a few older junkyards south of me that have a few old cars.But around here 67-72's in junkyard's are like old people at bingo.There everywhere.The thing is they are ussually so stripped that there usless.Either that or there whole trucks that the owners want to much money for.


There is an old truck.I am not sure on the year.It has a chevy grill.(71 I believe)The tail gate says GMC and it has leafs.I am not sure on the year.I do know it has a 327 with a 4 speed trans.The truck needs rockers.I have saw alot worse driving down the road.The guy wants 700 bucks for it.It would be great project for someone else.I have the one I want though.
