Did anyone notice the gauges? Those needles look pretty cool, and the hi-beam indicator looks like a bowtie to me.

Unless I head over across the border.. I suppose

Yeah, I see what your saying about the color... but I don't think that American Silverado's in the 80's had the wood grain dash and panels (only seen brushed aluminum look). The only ones I've seen here like the style you have (woodgrain and color), were only in the Suburban's (but i could be wrong) But I'm sure I can find one at a wrecking yard somewhere... but those seats are killer... never seen that style here in the States...from the factory anyway... would love to get my paws on a set of those for sure!

Re: Newbie from Mexico saying hi - 1989 cheyenne (mexican silverado)

damn, i really dig the mexico swb! its amazing they did almost all the things that i always thought they should have in the states. even the interior,nice upgrade on radio too, but i always thought to put factory camaro seats in them, door panels and the pockets below them are definately cooler than anything else ive seen simply done. would have been cool to have one like that in the states. any pics of the 73-79 body styles factory from mexico? ive got so many extra parts and im gonna build my 77 stepper real soon. very nice truck indeed<, im taking notes

I would be willing to buy the gas parts you take off. Of course you would have to pay the $25 paypal fee to be a premium member to sell them here.

The fee is a worthy investment.

Really nice truck. I also like that it is the squarebody style. What I really like is the manual tranny. You just don't see many in the SWB Cheyennes in the states.

Welcome from Santa Fe, New Mexico!! Awesome truck!! I love the little differences...the 4 speed, the gauges. Clean interior...I really dig the gas gauge... V - LL.

V = vacio = empty
LL= Lleno (pronounced yeno) = full
