Lowered truck measurements.

I'm trying to figure out how much drop I ended up with on my crew (I didn't measure before). If someone with a 5/5 or 5/7 drop could measure from the center of the wheels, front and rear, to the top of the wheel opening I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

Re: Lowered truck measurements.

Joe, do you have or need the stock measurements? Neither of my crews are dropped yet. One is an 87 the other an 89.

Re: Lowered truck measurements.

I guess if you subtract your measurements from mine it should be a close guesstimate.???

Both years I have are about the same. 21.25-21.5 in the rear and 20.25-20.5 in the front. Theyre both parked in gravel tho, hence the .25 variances. My garage is clogged up with the Elky right now, so I don't have a good level surface to go by.

Re: Lowered truck measurements.

Cool thanks!
I'm @ 5/7 lower than your stock measurements.

Any one with a 1/2 ton lowered 5/7 care to take some measurements?
Thanks!

Re: Lowered truck measurements.

Hey Joe, now that it looks like you have a confirmed 5/7 drop, how tall are your front tires and what kind of clearance with the inner fender do you have?

Re: Lowered truck measurements.

Brandon,
I'm 5 and 7 lower then a 1 ton crew
might not be the same as a 5/7 on a 1/2 ton truck
I have a 27" tall tire on the front currently, and I have a ton of room between the tire and inner, I even have room between the tire and the wheel opening. I can go measure if you like.....

Re: Lowered truck measurements.

No biggie, I didn't realize those measurements were from a 1 ton crew. I thought they were from a 1/2 ton. I knew it seemed like you had plenty of clearance, but your truck seems really low to me. I guess I am just not use to lowered trucks yet. My buddy has a 1/2 ton that is lowered like 1/3 and I feel like I am sitting right on the ground when I am in it. I can't imagine what mine is going to be like @ 5/7. Anyway, I will get off your thread now...

Is that 3" spindles and 2" springs in the front and a flip and shackles out back?

Re: Lowered truck measurements.

So I gather from these measurements that to get a one ton to the same height as a 5/7" 1/2 ton you need to go 6/8"
