New Coil Springs

I'm looking to get new coil spring for my '68. LMC has a set for real cheap, way cheaper than I could get at any local parts stores, even with shipping and the oversize part charge. Anybody used these before? I'm looking at getting the HD set. I'm putting a heavier motor in, and I'd like less sag in the rear when I'm hauling.

I am looking to do the same thing and thinking about the LMC coils. Be interested to find out if anyone has used these before.

Re: New Coil Springs

Are you just looking for stock? I bet you could ask one of our vendors and they could beat that price. I dont care for LMC, just because the experiences I have had prior, I dont want to bash so I will leave it there. CPPJeff can help you with the coils, also many other guys that sell them here too.

If your looking for just stock replacement springs, then go to the local parts store (NAPA). Summit can also carries Moog Springs.

Re: New Coil Springs

I'm looking for stock 3/4 ton springs. I've checked with the local parts stores and it'll be about $100 extra if I get them there. I'll check with some of the vendors on here. Haven't ordered a whole lot from lmc, but all my experiences have been good, long as they treat me good I'll give them my business. Thanks

If you end up getting them from LMC, let us know how they are.

Re: New Coil Springs

I bought the whole front end rebuid kit from lmc it also came with the rear springs and trail arm bushings i think it was about 450 i priced it all at the local parts napa, autozone, and i could of gotten all the parts in the kit for about 540 and the hasle of buying here and there and some parts houses get scared when you say 1972. All the parts fit perfect and had no trouble with lmc. My 2 cents

Re: New Coil Springs

ECE is great for suspension...

I have some used 'HD' rear coils (according to spid) I would sell but shipping would kill

Re: New Coil Springs

Hey Close69, thanks for suggesting outback! Just got off the phone with them, they had exactly what I wanted, only $180 for all four which is what I would've paid LMC. And they're local so I can pick them up!

Re: New Coil Springs

I bought the rear HD coils from LMC two years ago. So far I'm pleased. Both sides are even, and they don't complain even though I've hauled a tad more than a yard of wet dirt a couple times. I need better shocks though. It's very bouncy now.
