Re: One Ton after market conrol arms

I'm told the 1/2 ton upper's will work if ya swap to 1 ton ball joint. not sure if the lower ball joints can be swap'd out. I have a set of upper's and lower's, I reckon if the lower ball joint wont swap out I'll have a machine shop rework em to acceop the 1 ton ball joint.

the lower balljoint is a lot larger and it wont fit in a 1/2t you'll have more money in reworking them the a new set would cost to build

Re: One Ton after market conrol arms

Porterbuilt makes a really nice deal, that comes complete with cross-shafts, bushings, and upper / lower balljoints. Definitely not free but even the cheapest tube a-arms ain't really cheap.

Their arms center the wheels in the wheelwell, I guess this is mostly for looks but might also help with tire clearance if you drive around all aired out all the time. They can also make them shorter or longer than stock, depending on what brakes and hub / rotor combo you're using.
