Thoughts on McGauphys lowering kits?

Hey guys, im wondering what your thoughts are on the McGauphys kits vs belltech/DJM etc. Ive been told McGauphys are far superior to belltech/DJM etc but ive not had any experience with any of the 3 yet. So if you guys have used any of these 3 kit brands please let me know.

Re: Thoughts on McGauphys lowering kits?

I have a DJM rear flip kit , djm front springs and summit brand spindles.
The quality of all of the parts is fine. the outside bolts for the shock relocators on the back don't clear the leaf spring mounts on the outside, so only 2 bolts (instead of 3) hold the shock extensions to the axle.
The DJM stuff has a hammered silver powder coat finish, which I realized I don't like the looks of.
The summit brand (groundforce) spindles are fine, no complaints at all.

Re: Thoughts on McGauphys lowering kits?

I have never owned a McGaughys Lowering Kit, but have not heard any bad about them. I have had BellTech and DJM several times. I prefer DJM for quality and price.

Check with our Forum Vendors before you buy. There are some deals to be had in our Vendor Marketplace.

Re: Thoughts on McGauphys lowering kits?

that and i just now noticed i cant even post in there to ask about who has what brands and for what price......

i think we need a "Request a Price Quote" thread open to all members so we can post what we want and vendors can reply with what brands they have in what we want and their price quote to us.

A lot of the Diesel truck forums im on are set up this way, with one which even sends out an automatic PM to all vendors about when someone reqwuests a price quote so they get directly notified and can make a sale or at least advertise their product to the customer!

a great thing really!
