I got a question for the guys that have installed the tci mustang ii front suspension.
I drove the truck to the local alignment shop and they could not get truck aligned to tci specs.It was wearing the outsides of the tires and they adusted the toe in no problem ,but they could not get the camber correct ,they said there wasnt enough adjustment in the upper spring caps and now the truck pulls to the right pretty hard.

Has anyone else had this problem? thanks

Have you tried calling TCI to see if they have a solution?

don't wait on the email call them in person. I'm sure they get a lot of mail every day and have to wade thru it all.

It sounds like the spring caps were installed too far to the outside.

What you might be able to do is take the upper A arms off and take a die grinder to the inside ends of the slots that the T bolts ride in to let the A arms go in a bit further. Ask the front end guy if that might fix the problem and let him align it properly.

You could probably get a quarter of an inch or more that way pretty easily but if the front end guy can tell you how much he thinks you need to take out it would help.

Here is a option for you this will be a direct bolt on to your top mustang hat and will give you enough adjustment to save you on tires down the road.The cost on these upper arms are $325.00 and this is a forum special.

ya i like that idea direct bolt on a arms .i was contemplating cuting the slot longer in the spring caps and or grinding the slot on the arms themself.but i belive ill go the adjustable a arm route.

I wouldn't grind on the holes on the arms them selves. The T bolts are made to hold in the slots but the shaft might want to move around if you were to elongate the holes in the shaft.
The adjustable A arms are a nice option too but I never like suggesting something that costs money unless the question is a this or that type question. Did you ever figure out exactly how much you need to get the adjustment right.

mr48chev well i drove the truck to frame shop to let knowledgable friend of mine look at the work performed that the alighnment shop did last week,and to my dispare all the ball joints were loose and tie rod ends left loose !
We tightened everything up and still yet to get alignment done.
I was speechless when i had seen what they had left for me not to mention the 164.00 im out for them pulling it on the alignment rack and telling me theres nothing they can do !!!
I should have stayed there with the truck.next time i will ........
