Where are those seatbelts from? They look good in there.

I'm not sure. I picked up a 1972 project truck last year and they were in a box of parts. They worked out well.

Awesome build!! Great Pics.. Did one can of the Extreme Frame Paint from Eastwoods cover teh axle good or will I need to order 2 cans. I'm going to powder coat the frame but didn't want to take my axle apart for powder coat I was going to try the product you used. Thanks

Are you referring to the cut outs in the center cross member for the exhaust? If so, I used 1/4" wall 4'' diameter pipe.

One can of the Extreme chassis paint will cover the rear axle. It's a great product, you will not be disappointed.

If you're going to pay for shipping, I would suggest you buy a couple cans though. It's a great product to use on other small items on your build. It's tuff, sprays really nice and covers very well.

I love the way that Extreme Chassis Black looks! I'm glad I found this thread. Maybe in 10 years when I'm finally done with my cab I'll be using this stuff on the frame! Thanks!

Re: 1972 GMC Shorty Conversion

Hello All,

Yeah I'm the same way. My build will take me years as well but I think that's Great. I'm still comtemplating whether to powder coat or paint the frame and suspension. I've got a shop that will coat everything for 600 bucks. Frame, and all my suspension parts??? I've got lots of time.

Re: 1972 GMC Shorty Conversion

Very inspiring build. I think you should try your hand at paint and body. If you can lay cuts and welds as well as the pics then im sure you have the ability learn PnB. Only part of painting that takes skill is laying your base coat. You can close your eyes and spray clear! If you are good with a welder, making panels straight just takes practice. Good luck bro
