Re: 454 crewcab ??????

Are you talking about the collapsable tube that goes between the heat collector on the exhaust manifold and the fresh air intake?

Re: 454 crewcab ??????

I didn't take photos of mine before I removed it and blew the valve out of it so it was just open pipe... Must suck to live in a place with emissions.

Well I did find one photo. It bolted on to the manifold bolts and had a rod going down to the butterfly valve. The vacuum lines went to a port on top of the water neck.

I'll dig thru my box of left over junk I removed and see if I still got mine or not.

Re: 454 crewcab ??????

my 83 454 had one between the exhaust manifold and the pipe like you said before. The valve was mounted right there then had the metal vacuum tube run up behind the block to get vacuum from one of those senders mounted in the coolant flow in the front of the intake manifold.

Re: 454 crewcab ??????

the one i have has "158WN" stamped on the cast part that the exhaust goes through. I the vacuum pot doesn't have a number on it.
Hope this helps...?
Do you have the cast iron part? Do you have the vac acuator part?

Re: 454 crewcab ??????

I guess my guys threw away the box I had with all the emission parts and vacuum lines and junk. After a while you do get tired of tripping over stuff, so I don't blame them and I really had no use for it.
