WTB -- SWB in or near IOWA

Hi all,

Still looking to buy a SWB truck -- all projects and completed trucks will be considered, but it must be close to IOWA (IA, MO, NE, IL, MN, WI, SD). Just don't have the time to travel a long way to pick something up. I will consider 2 OR 4 wheel drive and Chevy or GMC. You can PM me or email me at Email me here

Thanks!

Hi, just curious as to where you are located in Iowa... I could be a neighbor! I'm from Shenandoah as you can see from under my avatar.

Not real close -- but then again, it's a small state. I live near Cedar Rapids.

68 chev long box

I know you have requested a short box or other project, but what I have is a 68 chevy long box. This truck originally came from Oregon to Minnesota. I bought it from the guy who brought it here. Have had it for many years already. My daughter drove it for about 2 years before we tore it apart for repainting and before we knew what happened we had it tore down to the frame. Took it in and had the frame sandblasted and painted. Took the box (very straight because it had a camper on it most of its life) in and had it bead blasted then to the body shop for painting (also the tailgate-very nice and stright). Had the cab bead blasted and took to the body shop for painting, found out from the guy that the area, under the top portion of the dash had rusted through and he would not fix it as it would cost to much to do, so we ended up selling that cab and bought a different one, this cab has had all the rust taken care of with patch panels and is painted the same color as the box, needs some minor work done before complete and to have final coat of paint done. Over the time we have been picking up different parts for the truck which will also go with the truck. Some items picked up are the original style bucket seats for the 68, this seat is in very good condition but wrong color for what we need. We also have a tilt steering wheel to go with. I know this is a lot of info, for now, and I will have more info for you if you are interested. The truck is a 1968 chevy 3/4 ton with power steering, 327 engine with a 4 barrel carb, wheels are the white spoke wagon style (which have been sand blasted and repainted) with 16" radial tires on them. We live 35 miles West of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. If you are interested you can email me or reply here and I will get back to you.

shorty

I have a 70 short step I'll let go for $2K as is. It's from Memphis. Almowst no rust on the body, but the frame has surface rust. Rough tailgate. Fender cutout for spare, but I think I have the part to patch it closed. Inline 6, 3 on the tree. Engine smokes like crazy, but runs good. I also have a 350/T350 in a 80 something truck. $500. Front frame assembly. (discs PS) $100. $2800 delivered. for everything.........Zoomy
