Paint, or repair fiberglass top

I had been looking for a fiberglass top with solid side glass for a while. I saw a local one, and jumped on it.

Its got a few imperfections in the fiberglass..

Should I just spray it black, or fix the imperfections? If I repair the imperfections, I don't know how I could get the textured finish back.

If i spray it black, could I get away with a rattle can job?

I sanded mine smooth on my 79 and filled the seams. Sure looked nice when it was done and repainted white to match the two-tone.
