Yes that is true, magic erasers WILL just drag any lose dirt or grime across a nicely painted finish. Overall for interior windows they are great. Good point!

gojo hand cleaner has thounds of uses// leather upholstery,wiring looms, vaccume lines , rugs, doorpanels steering wheels

plastix cleaner polish by mcguires
is a great cheap product to use on plastic and plexiglass based parts

brillo scouring pads a great chep product to start the cleanup and polishing process of aluminium and chrome parts

invisble glass by stoner the best glass cleaner i've used 100X better than windex

cornstarch a good chheap product to compound old dull oxidized dingy paint prior to a coat of wax
