last time i checked small block and non talldeck bigblock chevy took the same distributors

I was able to get one of the 'Skip White' HEI's with a tach drive for my '69 Vette off of eBay for less than $100, and it will work for big or small chevy.

Like the others have said, it looks like a diesel tach with a car tach drive distributor, which may not even give you an accurate reading when mated up.

Which brings us back around to what truck would this have come in? None that I know of. In the content of this thread we came around to realizing this would have come from a tall deck medium duty since those are the only trucks that came with this dash that aren't diesels that would have a mechanical tach drive. Would a small block medium duty have a mechanical drive tach for some reason? I've seen plenty that are electric. That's how so many swap them into their pickups.
