Are you wanting to use the exhaust kit or just the mufflers? I'm installing the stanless kit w/ ram horns, but I'm not going to use the mufflers.

Re: magnaflow exhaust

You will find some pictures of my Magnaflow exhaust on my 72 short bed step side on my build thread (post #320) http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...318544&page=13

I used some Pypes down pipes to go between the ram horn manifolds and the magnaflow kit. The big problem I had with the kit was that the pipe going over the rear end and out the back was bent wrong and would not fit right (see my build thread for more info)

Re: magnaflow exhaust

Thanks for info was thinking about the kit lmc sells, but was concerned about how loud it would be. I looked at your thread before Bruce88 really nice work, when are you going to do another one or are you still in recovery mode.

Is it recovery mode or just that the winter months are just not the best time for doing something with a build. I don’t know (smile). I try to get the truck out at least every other week and would say that I’m still in the brake in mode and final tuning. I’m seriously thinking about expanding the build thread to include tuning what you have sitting in front of you and passing on some of the knowledge that I’ve learned over the years. I’m just at the point of trying to figure out how to present it. So there’s going to be more information to be added to the build thread that you might find interesting.

Re: magnaflow exhaust

If you're thinking about LMC, that's the Hearttthrob dual kit also available at autoanything.com. I just ordered from them (manifolds back, no mufflers) for $172 (with 15% New Years discount) + free shipping. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't give you an in-person review, but you probably won't beat that price. Search autoanything promo codes for other discounts if the New Year one is over.

I got some Thrush turbos from amazon for $24 each. That's $220 total. Plus, if you go that route, you could pick your mufflers based on what sound you want.
