Rear side panels?

What are the rear side panels in stock Subs and Blazers made out of? Mine were changed by a conversion company and made out of plywood. I am wondering if I should just remake them out of plywood, or if a trip to the local junkyard to find stockers would be better.

Re: Rear side panels?

my stock side panels were made of what looks like masonite or "tempered hardboard". basically super hard cardboard. it is great as long as it never gets wet. i would stick with plywood myself. the only downside to plywood that i can think of is off gassing from the glues.
